Employment

Each resident will work 30-hours per week for a local non-profit or Kingdom-minded business that is engaging the community in transformative ways. This is a paid position that provides valuable experience and safe space to learn, grow, and experiment.

The employment experience is a core element of our residency program. Not only does it occupy much of the resident’s time throughout the week, but it is the place where the resident can put into practice the things that they learn in the classroom and cohort meetings.

We partner with like-minded employers in Knoxville to provide a quality 10-month paid internship ($1,200/mo) for each resident. In return, our partners expect high-quality work and creativity. Each resident will have a job description, a supervisor, and regular objectives to achieve. While the commitment is for the duration of the residency program, many of our employers are looking for quality long-term employees and may offer a position to the resident after the program ends. At a minimum, residents will gain experience, valuable relationships, credits towards their MA, and a good letter of recommendation.
